Can you help us Recruit?
Most people first hear about fostering through someone they know. A conversation with a friend, neighbour or colleague can often be the thing that encourages someone to take the first step.
That means one of the most helpful things you can do is simply talk to people about fostering. By sharing information and encouraging people to find out more, you might be the spark that helps a child find a safe and stable home.
You don’t have to be a foster carer yourself to do this. If you’re interested in helping us spread the word, you can register as a South Coast Fostering Community Recruiter.
We’ll provide you with some simple training and information so you feel confident talking to people about fostering and answering some of the common questions people ask.
Become a community recruiter
Our Community Recruiter Scheme allows people who are not foster carers to help us find new foster carers in their community.
If you register with us as a community recruiter, we’ll provide you with training, information and ideas to help you talk confidently about fostering and encourage people to find out more.
To say thank you for your help, we offer referral payments when someone you introduce goes on to apply and become a foster carer with us.
Payments
You will receive:
£50 for each application form we receive as a result of your referral
£750 for each foster carer you refer who goes on to be approved with us

Important Information
Please note this is not an employed role. It is a referral scheme, so payments are only made when someone you refer submits an application or is approved.
Because of confidentiality, we cannot share the reasons why someone may decide not to continue with the process or why they may not be approved.
