Foster carers needed in Maidstone

Across Kent, including Maidstone and the surrounding areas, there is an ongoing need for more foster carers. Children and young people who are unable to live with their birth families need safe, stable homes where they can remain close to their schools, friendships and local communities. When there are not enough local carers available, children may have to move further away, adding disruption at an already uncertain time.

Our experienced team works carefully to match children with suitable foster families, taking into account the needs of the child and the strengths of the carer. Thoughtful matching is essential to building stability and positive outcomes.

We provide comprehensive training before approval and ongoing development once you are fostering. Carers also receive dedicated supervision from a supervising social worker with a manageable caseload, along with 24/7 out-of-hours support. Fostering can be demanding at times, and you should never feel that you are facing challenges alone.

Our foster carers receive £479.50 per week for children aged 0–10 and £507.50 per week for children aged 11 and over, reflecting both the fostering allowance and the professional responsibility of the role.
